Frequently asked questions
1. What is 1throttle?
1throttle is a specialised classified-ads platform built exclusively for the Harley-Davidson community. List spare parts or whole bikes in minutes with our clean, rider-friendly ad editor. Whether you’re a private seller clearing out the garage, a collector hunting rare finds, a workshop offering HD-specific components, or a dealer/brand looking for real enthusiasts, 1throttle puts your listing in front of the right audience—without the noise of generic marketplaces. Start free with a small parts quota and upgrade any time for higher ad limits, featured placement, and branded seller pages.
2. Who can use 1throttle?
Although our focus is on the Harley-Davidson scene, the platform is well-suited for:
- Private riders – clear out spare parts or sell your Harley.
- Collectors - trade hard-to-find OEM or vintage parts with people who recognise their value.
- Custom builders / workshops – list the custom parts or complete builds you’ve fabricated (parts & bikes only).
- Dealers & niche brands – put your Harley-specific inventory in front of a targeted, HD-only audience.
3. How is 1throttle different from eBay or Amazon?
- HHarley-only focus
Everything on 1throttle is for Harley-Davidson bikes or parts, so your ad doesn’t drown in kitchen gadgets or phone cases.
On eBay/Amazon you compete with millions of unrelated listings.
- Three-step posting
Upload photos → fill in details → publish. No store setup, no final-value fees, no seller-performance hoops.
Big sites require longer onboarding, category fees, and constant metrics management.
- Audience that “speaks Harley”
Shoppers are riders, collectors, and HD workshops who already know the value of genuine or custom parts.
Generic marketplaces host broad traffic—many visitors don’t even ride.
- Community-driven improvements
Revenue goes straight back into Harley-targeted marketing and new seller tools the community votes on.
Corporate roadmaps at large platforms rarely consider niche needs.
- Future-ready roadmap
Integrated payments, automatic ad renewals, and premium seller badges are in the works—shaped by member feedback.
Feature updates on bigger sites seldom cater to Harley sellers.
If it bolts onto, sits under, or fires up a Harley, 1throttle is where the right people will actually see it—without the noise or extra fees.
4. How do I start selling?
- Create your free account - Sign up takes less than a minute.
- Pick a plan - stay on the Free plan or upgrade for higher limits and perks.
- Post your item - choose Parts or Motorcycles, upload photos, add price and details.
- Publish - your ad appears instantly in search, on the homepage, and on your seller page.
- Keep it live
- Free plan: listings stay up for 7 days; click Renew in your dashboard to refresh them.
- Paid plans: listings auto-renew and stay visible until you sell, delete them or the plan ends.
You can edit, pause, or delete any ad at any time from your seller dashboard.
5. Do you handle payment transactions?
Not yet. 1throttle is currently a pure classified-ads platform—buyers and sellers arrange payment and shipping between themselves. Integrated, on-platform checkout is on our roadmap, and we’ll roll it out once the community is ready.
6. How can I support or contribute to 1throttle?
- Grab the Early-Bird Bundle - Lock in a full-year Professional plan and score our limited-edition Harley tee + embroidered patch. Your purchase funds new features and keeps the platform rider-focused.
- Spread the word - Tell riding buddies, club forums, and workshop partners about 1throttle. Personal recommendations bring more quality listings than any paid campaign.
- Share feedback & ideas - Spot a bug? Need a new filter? Use the in-app feedback link or drop us an email—community requests shape our roadmap.
- Stay active - Keep your listings fresh, renew them when they expire, and answer buyer calls promptly. An engaged marketplace attracts serious buyers and premium inventory.
Every sign-up, share, and suggestion helps us reinvest in bigger upgrades—like built-in messaging, integrated payments, and mobile apps—while keeping 1throttle 100 % Harley-Davidson.
